The Underground Garden: Paying My Own Bills Since ’97. A Love Letter.

On Monday, April 20, 2015 I had the honor of being featured at Stone Soup Poetry during their weekly Monday night series held at Out of the Blue Gallery (www.outoftheblueartgallery.com). This is the second piece recited. It is dedicated to Resilient Growth. Drop your stones and build.

I love that I have issues
It reminds me you have issues

I love that you have issues
It reminds me I have issues

I love that no one’s perfect

Attainment of perfection is a lost cause

All knowing is a mirage.

Truth in the whispers? The truth is it’s a lie.

Lie forms in opinion. Opinion based on signs.

Should skies hold the keys and our lives are the doors, shouldn’t lives be less involved in talks and in just living more?

Glass houses are vacant and my stones are packed. I turn my back after my stones are stacked.

Anyway the wind blows, all of my adult life this is what I’ve known: Change.

Long in its range.

Masks are scary faces and Hallow’s Eve is just a date when faces masked transparently come across as family while you know before you sleep the only family you keep are …

I love that I have issues
It reminds me you have issues

I love that you have issues
It reminds me I have issues

I love that no one’s perfect

Attainment of perfection is a lost cause.

The greatest victory is in Forgiving.

For anger is a vice and tongues are fleshed up knives and hugs they come and go and families shrink and grow.

Welcome to my Home but I ask you leave your stones outside. I’m practicing perfection with my time.

Excuse my imperfections I haven’t reached Godlike.
Excuse my reactions to your imperfections, you haven’t reached Godlike.

Let us giggle on the breezes as we cross paths. Take a journey together or leave behind the remnants of a nuclear blast.

I rather build homes out of glass. Build homes out of glass.
